Dr. Corn, co-founder of GWC Technologies, is a leader in the development and application of surface-sensitive spectroscopic techniques, notably in GWC’s technology platform, surface plasomon resonance imaging. He is also principal inventor of the company’s core intellectual property. Dr Corn received a B. A. in Chemistry summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, and a Ph. D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to his current position, he servered as Visiting Scientist at the IBM Research Laboratory in San Jose, California, Visiting Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry at Swarthmore College, and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. |

Wisconsin
Dr. Smith is a leader in the development of instrumentation systems that address critical needs in biotechnology. He co-invented the automated DNA sequencer, one of the most successful scientific instruments for life science research, and now leads interdisciplinary research to develop novel methods and approaches for the analysis and manipulation of biomolecules. Current interests include mass spectrometry, DNA computing, and surface analysis methods. Dr Smith has extensive experience advising biotechnology companies, and co-founded Third Wave Technologies, now a public company. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, he has won many distinctions, including the 1994 Presidential Young Investigator Award and the 2005 American Chemical Society Award in Chemical Instrumentation. |
