their binding partners, including other proteins, ligands, nucleic
acids, carbohydrates, virus particles, whole cells and more,
all using the same instrument and the same technique.
And don’t forget, while probe arrays
are commonly made from collections of proteins, you can also
pursue your proteomics studies using the binding partners
as probes instead of the proteins. Ligand, nucleic acid (including
aptamer) and sugar arrays have also been studied on this platform.
