SpotReady™
CHIP SUBSTRATES SpotReady™
substrates (patent pending) provide a simple and rapid solution
to preparation of protein, peptide, nucleic acid and other arrays.
SpotReady™ chips are ideal if: |
- You want to complete your experiment as quickly as possible;
or
- You don’t have or don’t want to set up a spotting
robot; or
- You need no more than 16 or 25 features per array; or
- You are developing array fabrication methods; or
- You need to conserve precious probe solution; or
- You are new to SPR imaging and want an easy way to get
started.
|
| Each SpotReady™
chip has gold spots arranged in a grid pattern, and each spot
is surrounded by a hydrophobic background layer. This surface
allows for easy spotting of probes onto individual spots, using
the micropipets you already own. The hydrophobic surround deters
aqueous probe solution from flowing over the edge of the gold
spot. And, since the non-gold background does not elicit the
SPR response, it’s easy to demonstrate SPR concepts and
your experimental setup to students and visitors. Available
only from GWC Technologies, SpotReady™ chips are custom
manufactured for SPR imaging, and tuned for optimal response
on the SPRimager® and SPRimager®II systems. SpotReady™
chips are dextran-free, pure gold surfaces ready for you to
apply the probe attachment chemistry you prefer. If you would
like GWC’s recommendations for surface preparation strategies,
